AMAJUBA DISTRICT MUNICIPALITY COLLABORATES WITH SANRAL TO EMPOWER LOCAL ENTREPRENEURS.

In an effort to support local entrepreneurs, 22 entrepreneurs have successfully completed a one-month pre-tender business training program inaugurated under the leadership of His Worship, the Mayor, Cllr. uMntwana Ndabuko Zulu. The training was aimed at providing the district's small, medium, and micro enterprises (SMME) with the knowledge and skills they require to accelerate the diversification and rescue of rural economies. Today, November 13, 2023, the Amajuba district municipality's Local Economic Development Office, collaborating with SANRAL, distributed interim certificates at a monumental handover event that took place in the Amajuba Council chamber
The Amajuba district local economic development department which has a mandate to create a conjunctive economic environment and further ensure the empowerment of entrepreneurs was represented by Mr. Mondli Mlangeni who further expressed his satisfaction that the entrepreneurs had seized the opportunity to grow and capitalised on it. He also gave the entrepreneurs an opportunity to share their thoughts about the programme .In addition, on receiving their results, he urged them to explore and seize new business opportunities.
Mr. Bheki Jele, a beneficiary, conveyed his appreciation for being a part of such a programme. In closing, Jele mentioned that it would be fascinating for the students who will come after them to have a study tour of the ongoing projects and be able to acquire more practical experience rather than theoretical knowledge.
The graduation ceremony is expected to take place in 2024
